Hello All,
I just wanted to post this because I believe that a lot of the people who frequent this particular sub-forum of the Habbo Hotel Section should know what to think about when you're posting here. I think it would save those of us who continuously comment/complain about the section's pet-peeves (things nobody likes/enjoys in this section).
1. Custom/Recolor Thrones and Eggs - Nobody will really want to download any Dino Eggs, Thrones, or pretty much any recolors in this section. If you want to make them for your own hotel please do, but I suggest doing that. If you want to look into becoming a Pixel/Custom Artist then go for it, but don't post the customs just because it is your first custom, make some custom thrones and eggs and stuff until you feel you're comfortable and experienced enough to move on to bigger projects. Post it because you really believe people will like it, not just to say "Hey Guys, this is my first custom I hope you like it."
2. Giving Credits - Please guys, if it's not your own work then don't post it. Nobody likes it when you take someone else's work add a little effect and call it your own. If you're going to post something made by someone else, or post something that you've modified, then please try to notify that person that you will be releasing it and include some credits to both the person and yourself in the release thread.
3. Coding - Nobody is asking you to learn how to code anything, but it'd be nice if you got things coded before you release them. If you don't know how to code, that's fine, you can try to learn at some point, but you can also ask the many talented people in this section to code it for you. If you can't find anyone to do this, that's fine post the thread with the item that needs to be coded, and let people know that you need someone to code it. "Sorry, idunno how to code dis. :C" is unacceptable in this section. :D
4. Services - If you're going to host a service for people, that's great! If you're no longer providing this service, please notify people via the thread, that you are no longer conducting the services. Otherwise, your old service thread will keep getting bumped.
5. Flamers - There are many flamers in this section. A Flamer is someone who will instead of telling you how to fix your custom, they will try to make you feel like you should have never been born for making what they see as an abomination to society. Some people, like myself, have a tendency to want to "fight" back, when they're new and un-experienced in this section like I was. Please don't learn the hard way, some things never change, Flamers are one of those things. Just ignore them, and take any positive feedback that you'll receive from the people who are not flamers.
If you feel that I've missed a "pet-peeve", please let me know. I will try my best to fix the thread and add it in. :)
